I have roughly 175 Blu-ray movies on my 6 TB NAS drive that I stream throughout my home.
So understand I am not preaching at you for what you are doing because I do it probably on a much larger scale, but also know that if there is encryption on the disk it is not legal to break it to make a backup of the disk. DVDFab works fine with 32-bit and 64-bit. The programs installer files are commonly found as DVDFab.exe, DVDFabPlatinum.exe, DVDFab6Portable.exe, DVDFab.exe or DVDFabold.exe etc. '.dvdfab5', '.dvdfabgold' and '.dvdfabgold5' are the extensions this PC software can open. Download nightly beta builds here Download Alert and Convert here, it watches a folder and automatically converts the file using HandBrake. DVDFab 12.0.7.5 is available as a free download on our software library. that is probably why a full Kaleidescape system with server will cost you about $35,000. NOTE Handbrake can NOT rip/decrypt most commercial DVDs and Blu-rays Use a DVD ripper / Blu-ray ripper or try the libdvdcss from VLC Media Player, see Handbrake with libdvdcss DVD ripping. That company pays media companies a ***** load of money in order to market their product to do such a thing. A normal homemade DVD will be read instantly. Launch Handbrake program, click Open Source and then choose DVD to load the content. Get the disc you want to rip and insert it into your computer DVD drive. The only way to legally rip blu-rays that I know of is a Kaleidescape. The process of ripping discs is same for both Windows and Mac. Is it considered legal? No because I am breaking the Blu-ray encryption.

I personally rip all my Blu-ray Disks using make MKV and Handbrake for the sole purpose of storing them on my NAS and streaming that ripped movie file to the various media players in my home. The law says that you can make a backup of your media however there is still no law that allows you to break the encryption from the media company.
